Hi there,

Thanks for your note. Good questions. I think we spent more on our bathroom vanities than we needed to (our contractor built a beautiful one in our master that was considerably less than what I paid for the others), that we might have turned the old extension space into a guest room rather than demolishing it, that our office/gym area could be smaller (not pictured in any of the photos) and thus the space could have still accommodated another room even without keeping the extension, that we DEFINITELY should have insisted on traffic top coat on our floors, and one very specific issue with our heating subcontractor that I would have been very clear on beforehand (long story). Our house is 18.75 feet wide. Good luck in your renovation! You are welcomed to follow up if you have further questions.

Hi Cindy,

Thanks for your note, but we don't actually have wood countertops anywhere in our house. Did you mean the kitchen or bathroom countertops? If so, Marble.com in Ridgefield Park.

Hi- I found your website through a link you posted on Brownstoner. I am about to undergo a renovation similar in scope to yours and wanted to ask a question (or more). Is there anything you did that you think in hindsight was unnecessary? Anything you thought of later and wish you did? Any regrets in choices? Also- how wide is your townhome? Thanks and great reno/blog!
